This means it is possible to add reminders to check blood pressure, use asthma inhalers and much more. There are lots of very useful options when inputting data including whether it is a liquid, pill, syringe, tablet or other. It took even less time for my own medications. It took me around 5 minutes to input all of the data for the medications that my Mum takes. I’ve set reminders for my vitamins as well as medications! This pill reminder app is easy to use! I’ve been reminded daily to take my soluble Vitamin C too – which is something I don’t keep in my pillbox. I’ve found it has increased the amount I take my medication right up to 100% so far. It has made it easy for me to keep track of my medications and ensure that I don’t take conflicting medications at a similar time, which is something I’ve accidentally done before! I use this pill reminder app in conjunction with a 7-day pillbox. The app has no ads, no sign-up is required and no data is being held on me personally. What I’m loving about this app is it is free to download. Mum has multiple strengths of medication to take on different days of the week. It’s VERY important that she takes her medication every single day without fail. This means that if my Mum forgets her medication even once a month the levels of clotting within her blood could change and cause a potentially fatal blood clot to form in her new mechanical heart valve. My Mum has a mechanical heart-valve and her blood must be clotting within a specific INR range of 2.5-3. This is mild compared to the problems that can occur if my Mum fails to take her medication on time. On occasion, I have forgotten to take these and this has caused a few side effects. I’m on blood pressure medication and a few other prescribed tablets.
